- Marja, I definitely prefer to read a paper book, but for convenience and price, the Kindle wins out. I can bring all the books I want with me to read in carpool line, the doctor's office, planes, long car trips (as long as I"m not driving). Probably the biggest advantage Kindle has over paper versions of books is instant gratification. I order most of my books online and I like being able to read them immediately upon purchasing. Still, I prefer reading words on paper over a computer screen. It's not quite the same cuddling up in bed with a Kindle on a dark, rainy night.
